Matt Norman is an ace musician who has developed an ‘English Mandolin’ style, which is vibrant, contemporary and unique. He is heavily influenced by traditional players but creates unexpected arrangements melding old tunes with new sounds. Matt’s enthusiasm for his instrument and his musical heritage is truly infectious. His performances range from delicate and introspective to virtuosic and wild. Well chosen songs broaden the spectrum and make a great show.

Until recently Matt worked full time for Wren Music, he is now a freelance Community Musician. He runs two youth choirs and has an extensive background in leading many workshops and community education projects for people of all ages and abilities.
